What is Razz? Quick rules and how to play.

As opposite to several other poker games, in Razz the "worst hand" is the best. The "worst hand" referring here to the hand that would usually be the "worst hand" in poker games such as Hold'em, Omaha and so on. But not in Razz, it is just the opposite: Razz is a poker game in which the best low poker hand wins.

In Razz players are dealt seven cards. In first round players get 3 cards: two hidden hole cards and one card face up. After this cards 4th, 5th, and 6th are also dealt to players face up, one by one. The last card, 7th card, is dealt to players face down.

Of these 7 cards the best (lowest) 5 cards are chosen to represent players final hand to compete other players final hand. In Razz flushes etc doesn't matter. Only thing that matters is that who have the lowest 5 card combination in the end.

Notice: A is always the lowest card and therefore the best possible hand is: 5, 4, 3, 2, A. Here is the example ranks of the hands, and which hand would win the other (from top to down):

- 5, 4, 3, 2, A  the best possible hand
- 6, 4, 3, 2, A  the second best possible hand
- 6, 5, 3, 2, A  the third best possible hand
...
- 7, 5, 3, 2, A
- 7, 5, 4, 2, A
- 7, 6, 3, 2, A
...
- 9, 8, 7, 6, A
- 9, 8, 7, 6, 2
...
- KKQQQ        the worst possible hand (notice there has been KKKKQQQ, but two Ks are left out from the count, because only 5 cards count to final hand)
